HYBRIT’s hydrogen storage has now been tested commercially on the electricity market. Its excellent results are important for the industry’s transition.The hydrogen storage was first put into operation during the summer of 2022, with tests continuing until 2024.
Through the collaboration, KIRCHHOFF Automotive, manufacturer of safety-relevant structural components for the international automotive industry, can reduce the CO2 footprint by 40%. SSAB Fossil-free SteelTM is a steel developed by SSAB – raw material supplier to KIRCHHOFF Automotive.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Vestre had become the first furniture company anywhere in the world to use SSAB’s fossil-free steel. Vestre strives to be at the forefront of the green shift, and has always been quick to test new technologies and solutions in order to reduce their overall climate impact.

TRIWA made carbon footprint calculations on all its products and identified steel as the biggest polluter. In pursuit of solutions, TRIWA came across SSAB and the idea Time for Decarbonization was born.

SSAB is aiming to launch the world’s first fossil-free steel at a commercial scale by around 2026. While the greener variant of the metal is the hottest topic on the steel market right now, there is still a lot of obscurity around it. To answer some of the key questions, the Swedish company recently hosted a factpacked webinar called, “What is fossil-free steel and when will production start?”.
