Volkswagen AG and Vulcan Green Steel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a partnership for low-carbon steel – a key element of Volkswagen’s green steel strategy.
The construction of Vulcan Green Steel’s green-hydrogen-ready steel plant in Oman commenced on November 27. The plant will be located in the Duqm Special Economic zone.
Sustainability is rooted deep into VGS’s ethos, ergo the company is one of the sponsors and exhibitors of GSW, which aims to facilitate effective dialogue and exchange ideas for the rapid decarbonisation of the steel industry.
