Gestamp and Acciaieria Arvedi signed an agreement to supply OEMs with sustainable produced low-emissions steel components using Arvedi´s “Carbon neutral certified ARVZERO™ steel” coming from high-quality scrap.
Gestamp signed an agreement with SSAB to deliver fossil-free steel for body-in-white and chassis system products. This partnership is a further step in Gestamp’s ESG strategy related to the circular economy that the company is applying throughout its business model.
Tata Steel, the largest steelmaker in the UK and Tier 1 automotive supplier Gestamp, have signed an agreement aimed at nearly doubling the percentage of recycled steel in the components they supply to the automotive sector.
The agreement involves jointly designing and implementing a circularity scheme that will enhance the recycling of steel between the two companies. This collaboration will allow automotive customers to maintain their CO2 emissions reduction goals over the lifespan of the vehicle.
Gestamp has a very important role in validating the low-carbon emissions steel produced by ArcelorMittal.
