Boston Metal announced it has raised $51 million in a convertible note investment from existing investors including BHP Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Piva Capital and SiteGround.

Boston Metal’s patented Molten Oxide Electrolysis (MOE) process is being commercialized to produce both green steel and high-value metals, such as tin and niobium.

Boston Metal announced it had welcomed two members to its senior leadership team as part of the company’s preparation for the commercialization of its revolutionary metals production technology.
