Nippon Steel Corporation has launched a new brand, NSCarbolex™ Solution, which comprehensively features advanced products and technical solutions to contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in society.
Under “Nippon Steel Carbon Neutral Vision 2050,” which Nippon Steel formulated with the goal of realising a carbon-neutral society by 2050, they hope to contribute to CO2 emission reduction in society by offering their advanced products and technical solutions, in addition to reducing CO2 emissions in their own manufacturing processes.
Aiming at reducing CO2 emissions in society, they will deliver their value from the following three perspectives: reducing CO2 emissions in customers’ manufacturing processes, reducing CO2 emissions during the use of customer’s products in society, and contributing to energy transition in society with the goal of realizing a carbon neutral society.
Nippon Steel’s advanced products and technical solutions are already contributing to CO2 emission reduction in various areas of society. Some specific examples include NSafe™-AutoConcept, which reduces CO2 emissions during the manufacturing and driving of vehicles; high-efficiency electrical steel sheets that improve motor efficiency and reduce energy losses in power grids; ProStruct™, a brand to offer solutions for construction materials to enhance productivity on construction sites; and HRX19™ stainless steel for high-pressure hydrogen environments to contribute to the realisation of a hydrogen society.
Going forward, Nippon Steel will strive further to meet customer needs by adding advanced products and technical solutions equipped with these capabilities to the NSCarbolex™ Solution brand and enhancing and expanding the product and solution lineup through the development of products and technologies.
NSCarbolex™ is a brand that integrates NSCarbolex™ Neutral, steel products announced earlier this year that are certified as reducing CO2 emissions in the steelmaking process, and NSCarbolex™ Solution.
