Stegra awards Aeron contract for HVAC in new production facility

The agreement is valued at approximately NOK 200 million excluding VAT, and includes detailed engineering, design, procurement, and assembly of HVAC systems.

Stegra will produce green steel in the new facility. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity as energy sources instead of coal, the company will significantly reduce carbon emissions. The company aims to produce 5 million tons of green steel annually from the facilities in Boden, Sweden, by 2030.

“We are proud to have been awarded this important contract. This is a new step forward in our commitment to renewable energy, and we look forward to collaborating with our customer and partners to ensure the successful completion of the project,” said Lars Myhre Hjelmeset, Executive Vice President at AF Gruppen.

Engineering starts immediately, with equipment delivery and completion in 2025.
