At the 7th RailTech Summit on November 14, 2024, in Paris, Everysens, provider of specialized TMS (Transportation Management Systems) for rail freight, celebrated advancements in digital transformation within rail freight logistics. The summit, a key event for the European rail freight industry, featured the RailTech Awards, recognizing excellence in three categories: START (for outstanding onboarding), SCALE (for measurable outcomes), and GROW (for tangible, sustainable ROI).
Saarstahl Rail, part of the SHS Group, received the START award for its innovative onboarding with Everysens’ Transportation & Visibility Management System (TVMS). Producing nearly 400,000 tons annually, Saarstahl (Saarstahl ASCOVAL) is Europe’s first manufacturer of Green Steel Rail, aligning with circular economy principles. The TVMS enhances visibility and efficiency in Saarstahl’s logistics operations, marking a significant step toward sustainable and competitive rail freight practices.
“Receiving the ‘START’ award is a strong acknowledgment of our commitment to integrating innovative solutions into rail logistics. At Saarstahl Rail, we believe innovation and efficiency are essential to achieving sustainable growth. This award marks the beginning of a promising collaboration with Everysens as we reimagine our transportation processes to create real added value,” said Margaux Lalanne, Supply Chain Manager at Saarstahl Rail.
Viterra, a global agriculture leader, earned the SCALE award for leveraging TVMS to improve transport flow visibility and agility. Meanwhile, Tarmac, the UK’s largest sustainable building materials provider, was recognized with the GROW award for successfully scaling Everysens’ solution across its operations, driving carbon reduction and operational improvements.
Everysens provides the Transportation & Visibility Management System (TVMS), a software solution dedicated to rail freight. The TVMS serves as an operational and strategic control tower, enabling industrial shippers to centralize their processes, optimize operations, and maximize ROI while significantly reducing carbon emissions.
