

COP 29: A missed opportunity or the wake-up call we needed?
The climate crisis remains one of the most urgent challenges of our time and COP 29, the latest iteration of the United Nations climate conference, provided a mixed picture of progress. While the conference took stock of the barriers to meaningful action ahead of the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement in 2025, it also demonstrated the complex realities of international negotiations in a world where political, economic and environmental interests often collide.
