Rio Tinto has entered into definitive agreements with GravitHy, to help accelerate GravitHy’s steel decarbonisation project in France.
GravitHy’s first Direct Reduction Iron plant is expected to start-up production in 2027 in Fos-sur-Mer. The plant is designed to produce DRI using hydrogen as reductant fuel.
GravitHy supports the emissions reduction of steel industry by generating and using green and low‐carbon hydrogen to produce DRI.
