The conferences successfully brought together key industry professionals to discuss and showcase the latest projects and advancements in green steel and hydrogen technologies, fostering collaboration and accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable future. Insightful presentations, interactive panel discussions, and fruitful networking provided valuable opportunities for exchanging ideas among industry leaders, researchers, and investors.
Hydrogen Tech World Conference 2025
The Hydrogen Tech World Conference 2025 brought together expert speakers working at the forefront of the energy transition: the integration of electrolyzers into industrial facilities. Representatives from engineering firms, system integrators, technology and software developers, utilities, and hydrogen end users shared how green hydrogen technologies are being embedded into complex industrial operations – from steel production and e-fuel synthesis to sustainable aviation fuels and offshore hydrogen projects.
Through a rich program of technical presentations, case studies, and real-world project insights, speakers explored a broad range of challenges and innovations. Topics included high-temperature electrolysis, system optimization, standardization and modularization, plant integration, hydrogen storage, and the use of digital twins and predictive modelling. The conference maintained a strong spirit of open knowledge sharing and was marked by lively discussions and deep engagement throughout.
A particular highlight was the panel discussion, “Decarbonizing steel: Lessons from the frontlines of hydrogen integration,” which closed the first day. Moderated by Dr. Carlos Bernuy-Lopez (Ramboll) and featuring Dr. Marita Nilsson (Stegra), Dr. Volker Schöllmann (HYBRIT Development), and Göran Nyström (Ovako), the session drew a standing-room-only crowd – clearly underscoring the urgency and interest surrounding hydrogen’s role in the decarbonization of steel.
Green Steel World Conference 2025
The Green Steel World Conference 2025 gathered speakers who are leading the steel industry’s transformation toward sustainable production. Professionals from across the value chain, including steel producers, technology providers, financial advisors, and software developers, shared how green steel strategies are being deployed to reduce emissions and increase circularity in an energy-intensive sector.
With a strong lineup of applied research, technical insights, and practical case studies, the conference addressed the diverse challenges and innovations shaping the future of green steel. Topics included low-carbon steelmaking technologies, circular economy initiatives, carbon accounting and certification, scrap optimization, renewable energy integration, and the role of digital tools in driving process efficiency. The event fostered an open, collaborative atmosphere, with thought-provoking discussions and active participation throughout.
Especially noteworthy from the two-day event was a pair of well-received presentations. Tim Eschert of Fero Labs delivered a talk titled “Unlock efficiencies in 2025: Why you need to optimize people, process, and products with AI,” focusing on how artificial intelligence can drive operational excellence and sustainability in steel production. Bernhard Rischka of Swiss Steel Group followed on the second day with a presentation on “Green steel strategy and circular insights from Swiss Steel Group,” offering practical insights into how the company is advancing decarbonization and resource efficiency. Both sessions drew large audiences and sparked meaningful conversations on the path to greener steel.
We are confident that the two days were informative, enriching, and inspiring to all participants. The Green Steel World and Hydrogen Tech World Conferences were made possible with the support of all visitors and participants. Thank you for the wonderful discussions and meaningful connections.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors: Siemens Energy, Kalyani Ferresta, Meva Energy, Alleima, and ANYbotics. The presence of the conferences’ sponsors underscored the commitment of various industries to sustainable practices. A special thank you to all speakers who delivered cutting-edge insights into the latest developments in green steel and hydrogen technologies.
The two conferences would not have been possible without the dedication of our colleagues from the planning phase through to execution. We were delighted to have everyone who joined us, and we look forward to welcoming you to our next event!
