LESS leads the development of low emission steel standardization and the associated labeling system. For Tata Steel, this membership is a further step towards circular and CO₂-neutral steel production. This also strengthens Tata Steel’s position as a leader in the European steel industry in the field of low-emission steel production.

With participation in LESS, Tata Steel can provide customers with steel according to a clear, transparent standard and demonstrate the sustainability of their product, also to policymakers. Purchasers of steel products can in turn achieve their own sustainability goals and strengthen their position in a sustainability-focused market.
